On Friday 14th March, Elsie Wilson celebrated her 100th birthday at The Green Nursing Home in Dronfield. Staff at The Green organised a big tea party, decorating the Home with bunting, balloons and flowers.

The Green Hasland are delighted to announce that they have received a ‘Good’ standard rating in all areas, following a recent routine CQC (Care Quality Commission) inspection. The inspection took place on 25th October 2013 and concluded that The Green be awarded a ‘Good’ rating, which is the highest rating that can be awarded in an inspection.
Deepak Jaiswal, The Green Proprieter said “I am really pleased with this outcome. The staff really deserve it. We have a great team here and everyone works so hard to ensure our residents have a comfortable and enjoyable life in the home.”
The comments received from residents and relatives interviewed by the CQC were very complimentary. One relative told the CQC inspectors that the staff are "Wonderful" and that their relative was "Being well cared for". Another person said that staff had provided "Very good care" to them recently when they had been unwell.
Eluned Innes, Home Manager said “These positive comments are great to hear! Full credit is awarded to my whole team who really put in that little bit extra to care for our residents.”
Credit was also awarded to the catering team. Residents and relatives interviewed told CQC that the food served was "good quality" and confirmed that they were always offered a good choice of meal. Deepak Jaiswal commented “The quality of food offered at The Green plays an important part in the home’s philosophy of care. All our food is cooked on site with fresh ingredients. It’s very satisfying to hear that it is well appreciated.”
